Since the tree removal in my last post, we have done a bit of tweaking in the yard garden. Hubby burned all the dried out leftovers and cut some branches. (I did help. A little) What we ended up with was something I really hadn't thought about having--a perfect view of the mountain from my living room lounge window! Since I love how the clouds accumulate around it's top, I will be taking a LOT more photos of it. I promise not to post every single one. Just the really unusual clouds.

wow, this view is definitely worth losing a tree!
Wow - that is a stunning mountain and I can't wait to see LOTS of pictures of it - every season - all weather - all the time.
Wow, the mountain looks like it should be in Japan and the farmland looks like southern England. A great combination!
Wow, that is an incredible view! Our mountain view is broad and low, being in the southern Appalachians...beautiful but very different than that massive mountain. Being a tree hugger, I understand some hesitation in cutting one down, but this was definitely worth it:)
I'd be tempted to remove any near obstruction over fence height. :-D What a fabulous view!! You live in such a stunning place!

I like this new view. Tell hubby he did a fantastic job.
What a beautiful picture! I love the mountains...they are so peaceful and serene. Somehow, they make me feel closer to God. So happy you stopped by my blog today, so I could find yours. How wonderful to meet someone who lives so far away! God's peace be with you, Cheryl
Hi!:) Thank you so much for your visit.
You have the most wonderful view from your window. What is the name of the mountain?
Greetings from Portugal.
@breathtaking:This is Mt Taranaki.
That is some awesome view to have from your back Yard/garden;-)
All the best Gordon.
It is simply stunning! Wish I lived near there. That view is truly a gift.
Always a pleasure having a guest drop by for a chat. I enjoyed visiting your blog.
Lovely view!
Enjoyed discovering your blog. You're one adventurous lady to make such a jump. Thanks for visiting my blog.
What a bonus! My parents lived lake side, and when they got older they seemed to like the protection of the trees. We cut 'em down!
It's so lovely to see your green. We still knee-deep in snow.

You have a really gorgeous view from your home now! Wow. We had 14 trees removed from our property line last summer. The pictures in my post were taken because I now have a view too. :) The trees were like a wall and I missed out on so much light and sky before. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week. Pamela
Wow, what a wonderful view of Mt.Taranaki/Egmont from your lounge room!
