a new view

Since the tree removal in my last post, we have done a bit of tweaking in the yard garden. Hubby burned all the dried out leftovers and cut some branches. (I did help. A little) What we ended up with was something I really hadn't thought about having--a perfect view of the mountain from my living room lounge window! Since I love how the clouds accumulate around it's top, I will be taking a LOT more photos of it. I promise not to post every single one. Just the really unusual clouds.

45 minutes of my life

Yesterday morning was busy for about 45 minutes. Within that time, we had a new water tank put in. With one guy to drive the digger, one to do the unhooking/hooking back up and one to tell them what needs done, the little spot of pasture went from having this on the spot:

to

a brand new tank that doesn't leak! Yay! The fire truck brought a load of water later in the day and will bring another soon to fill it up (mostly). Then, all we will need is rain to keep it full.

That part took about 30 minutes total, from unhooking the old tank to hooking up the new one. The rest of the excitement was when the digger went around the fence and took a bite out of  a tree/bush/ugly thing in the front yard garden. In a matter of seconds, it went from this:
 to this

I know, I was impressed, too!

Now I have some more room for pretty flowers! Thanks, guys!

How to have a google+ profile without google+

I was visiting Karen over at Pixel Posts and found that you can have a google+ profile without having to give up the Blogger dashboard. It links the two profiles together but you don't have to use the google+ pages if you don't want to--which is good because google+ makes me crazy!

The link is over at Blogger Hints and Tips and you can click right here to find it. Yes, I was skeptical at first, too, but it really works. Thanks, Karen!

I have also found that the photo storage on Picasa has changed, too. To go back to the old style of albums after you have arrived at the new page, just type 'picasa web album' into the url space and hit 'enter'. Voile! You are back to the old style.

It would seem that I am having trouble with change in my....wiser age. Actually, I'm not really opposed to change. It just has to be more helpful than the old way for me to appreciate it and these two things don't seem to improve things in my world :)
