Matiere II

As I told you in this post about Matiere, there's not much left of the town.
But we came through the town on our latest wanderings and I took more photos.



These photos from my archives are from the other end of the same road

It was the turn-around stop on a rail car tour we were on in 2017.

Looks almost abandoned. A very sleepy little town. What did you do there in 2017?

Reading that this was on a tour you took reminds me of a tour the Pres and I did when we first moved to VA. The town we lived in was known as the "Moonshine Capital of the World,"although we did not know that when we bought our place!!!...:)jp
