A new experience

I've been in NZ for about 15 years and haven't seen anything really 'new' in
a while. Well, that ended today. As usual, I needed to use the public toilet
while we were at Castlecliff Beach with Missy in Whanganui. We found
the doorway and walked inside to find the stalls, as we usually do.

One stall had no toilet and we were a bit taken aback because neither of the
other two toilets had any toilet paper dispensers. Fortunately, I usually have
tissues in my pocket and they came to our rescue.

On the way out, I was waiting for Missy and looked around a bit.
That's when I found it. We had totally missed a large sign
that instructed us to take the toilet paper from the one dispenser just
inside the door!

It struck us as really funny that we had missed it and Hubby probably
though we had lost our minds when we got back to the car!

We still don't know why one stall was empty but that's a mystery
for another trip.

LOL! I always carry tissues and or a few squares of "TP" tucked in a pocket but this certainly makes maintenance of the facility easier as there' only ONE dispenser to fill!!...jp

Lol! I usually carry tissue with me wherever I go because it will come in very handy. The single toilet paper dispenser is not new to me because most of our public toilets especially those along the expressway will have a single toilet paper dispenser, a single liquid soap dispenser and a hand drier. I still carry my tissue with me just in case the dispenser is empty. Have a wonderful weekend.

This gave me a giggle as it is so a story of my life here in Asia! I wonder if this came in when loo rolls were in short supply?! Have a lovely day!

Hi Betty!
Could it be that the stall was not empty, but that it is an Asian toilet (just a hole in the floor)?
All the best from Austria,

Well, I am sure somebody thought it was a good idea to do that - but I suspect that they are wrong! Pocket tissues are a life saver in many ways!

Hope all is well - Stewart M - Melbourne

Oh that made me smile big, I would definitely have missed the sign also mainly because it's such an unusual idea. Thank heavens for the tissues in the handbag, saved me a few times too Betty 😉

That is funny. I probably would have missed the instructions myself since it isn't something that we normally have to do. Glad you had your own TP at the time.

That is interesting. Sure never saw that here in Cailforna.

I have never met that either but sorry there was a laugh with me at your story too. Always have toilet paper with me because it often happens that even here in public toilets they take the rolls with them. And then is so a dispender is useful.
