Another earthquake
It was in Christchurch again--the same place as last year. This one seems to have done damage to different parts of the city and is quite devastating.
I am in the north island, so was not involved. Pleass pray for those that were.
My prayers and thoughts are with all concerned. I have had telephone calls from friends asking if my family are in the quake area, thank God they are not.
I am so glad you are all right but am appalled that so many have perished. Such a terrible thing. Do take care. I must check on Peter now. My prayers are with all.
This really is dreadful! I have a cousin and an aunt who live near Auckland, so they are well clear of South Island, but a nephew's in-laws live in Christchurch. Thankfully, they are unharmed, although their home suffered damage again and they have a friend trapped in one of the collapsed buildings and are waiting to know if she is OK.

I saw this on the news this morning as I was getting up. Some of the destruction looks pretty awful.

Just watching reports about this on the news now...how awful! Here in Vancouver, we frequently have small quakes but the Big One is yet to come.
ReplyDeleteOf course, we will be praying for those in Christchurch and hoping aide and support is provided promptly...
