No Grace

It's been five weeks since she's been in the house. I last saw Grace before I went to bed on a Friday night and haven't seen her since. I assume that she has met her demise--hopefully, not a painful one.

I hope her four years with us were as happy for her as they were for us.

  3. Oh no....:-((((

I hope nothing happened and she is doing well, even if it doesn’t look like that she is coming back. I know this feeling, about six times it happened to me.

Since then I don’t want any more outdoor cat. Tramps can come to visit, but they have to go again. They also are getting no more names of me.

Just too sad if you see them go and or finds poisoned.

So I only have my cat Gismo in the house and he can not get out.

Thanks for visting and commenting my blog

  5. Dear Betty,
I'm so sorry!!! It's not easy to let her go with this uncertainty! Grace is such a beautiful cat and I'm also sure she enjoyed the time with you as much as you did! I hope she will find the way back to you! If not, I hope she is fine wherever she is...Maybe she has started her own family outdoor...
Even so I wish you a good and wonderful weekend - I'm with you and Grace!!!

  6. Poor kitty. Maybe she just moved somewhere else. I hope she comes home, and it's not as bad as you think.

  8. :-( So sorry about your kitty. I've heard of cats coming back months or more after disappearing. Hopefully your cat will come home someday.

  9. Oh, you will miss that cute beauty, but may be, cats sometimes come back after rather a long time. I hope so.

  13. Well Hello Betty,
This is my first visit to your blog and I must admit that I like it! Thanks for your visit and comment in my blog.
So sorry about your cat... I know the feeling.
Somehow strange to read about spring when here we just got into fall.
    Best regards

  14. The unknown makes it difficult. . . . sad your pretty cat has gone missing . . .

  15. Hi Betty. I'm so sorry for your loss. Grace was a beautiful cat. I have a calico as well. We also recently lost our 14 year old cat and we miss him a lot.

  16. I am so sorry! I hope she shows up! Cats are known to do that! Someone may have taken her inside and won't let her out. My heart is breaking for you!

  17. that is difficult.
Perhaps she is holidaying with a neighbour and will bounce back
    as our Sparkles once did.
He had to investigate the new building next door - before the builder's holiday.
Once they came back to work ... I looked out one morning and on the balustrade calmly gazing out to sea ... was Sparkles!

  18. Oh she is beautiful She might show up again. Our cat has disappeared once for a couple of days
Who knows. Good luck! I really hope she comes back

  19. Oh that is devastating! :( I don't understand why cats leave good and loving homes.

A friend of mine's cat ran away, then five years later turned up again. I hope this gives you some hope.

  20. It's always a little sad to lose a pet. Perhaps she will return eventually, as others have commented.

    Thanks for visiting me.

  21. My heart hurts for her and for you. she is a beautiful cat. maybe someone took her in. we had a cat that disappeared years ago and we did not know what happened. 3 years after he disappeared we saw him sitting in the window of a neighbors house, then on her porch.

  22. Oh no, how awful! The neighbours at our last house lost their cat unexpectedly too, it's such a horrible feeling. She's such a cutie too, I really hope nothing awful happened to her. I am sending hugs your way! - Tasha

  23. Sorry to hear your kitty has gone missing...that is so sad. Hoping for the best for her though We had one very loveable cat "Sammy" who went missing for several weeks, and then finally came back. He stayed a little while and then left again, that time for good. We wonder what happened to him.

  24. No! Thats a real shame - we have only had our cat for about 8 months, it would be a real shock if we lost him like that.

  26. the hard part is not knowing what happened :(

  27. I am a catperson according to my eldest granddaughter, who is a catlover herself. Every time one of our cats died, I was devastated. Now I have decided to continue living a life without cats. I agree with NatureFootstep that "the hard part is not knowing what happened"!
I wish you a lot of strength looking for your kitty.
