Mickey, Mickey, Mickey

Whoever decided that cats only meow around humans should come to my house and I will prove that theory wrong!


Mickey is very smoochy and starts meowing as soon as he gets through the cat flap. But I don't think anybody told him to keep his meows inside.

He wanders around the flower garden or sits on the front porch and meows just like he does inside.  Sometimes, he sits in the flowerbed and meows--maybe, he's singing his favorite song! There's always a hint of urgency in his meow but he doesn't seem anxious. It's very strange to see and hear.

I don't think he is upset or searching for something. I believe he just like to meow!

    Cats that are constant talkers are extra special in my book. I've had a few in my life that have been very verbal and they bring a new dimension to the relationship. May you have many, many years of enjoying his company.

    We used to have a cat called Meow - an original name I know! He was a talker too!

    I didn't know that theory existed as I have always heard cats meowing everywhere. May be he is looking for a partner (hubby/wife).

    Mickey seems to be an extrovert cat :D
    I love the different voices of cats and how very different their meows can sound. It is so funny when a giant cat has a very high kittenlike voice.

    My Arthur is a bit like that, he sits outside even in the middle of the street and meows his operas ! My oldest cat had never "spoken" a word for 17 years or only a little meow. Now she is 18 and has become a chatterbox ! Isn't that strange ?? She also changed from mostly outside to only inside cat !
