As I was typing the title, I realized that it could be taken differently than what I mean, but that's ok. What I mean is that I have discovered two more plants that cows won't eat. That brings the total to 4 including parsley and calendula. I haven't done any in-depth research to see if these 4 plants have anything in common to ward off being eaten by cows, but if I do, I will certainly let you know!

I love this title! We grow sedum plants for a living...yes, rather odd. We were very grateful to learn that it is a plant the deer leave behind...they think my garden is a salad bar!
oh good so you won't have to fear the cows eating your plants. We had once a pony coming into our garden who ate everything in our garden
Hi Bettyl, or Betty. Our cows in the tropics leave also what they don't eat, but since biodiversity is higher in the tropics they leave many types of grasses. By the way where is Taranaki, i am going to Auckland in Dec and have lots of days to spare when my sister is at work leaving me just in the house, haha.

Huh. I had no idea. I've never lived on a farm, although cows are all around me but only a few miles away. Relatives have livestock, but I don't have much personal experience with them. I didn't realize they would eat just about any plant, but that makes sense. Kind of ties in with my most recent post, too. ;-)

I did a post on parsley yesterday, and today, I learn from you that cows don't eat parsley. There must be something inside the parsley even snails don't eat them.
