Hunt for the Wilderpeople

We just got back from seeing the Hunt for the Wilderpeople and it was fabulous!

It was funny and serious and touching and actually had a huge car chase--with an army tank among the lot!
There aren't a lot of actually New Zealand-made movies and the last one that I watched and loved was Predicament, which was shot mostly in the little town of Eltham (not far from where I live).
If you get a chance, I highly recommend giving it a look.

We adored Hunt for the wilderpeople!
The kiwi sense of humour is priceless.
My two teens voted it the best film ever...it may have had something to do with the tank!

Sounds like fun. We might go and watch it. Other NZ movies I like is the whalerider and the piano

I've heard good reports about it. It was on the Qantas entertainment list when I flew to Melbourne but I didn't choose it. Should have.

Hmm...I don't think I ever saw any NZ made movies. But I saw a TV serial though. It was very nice and interesting and nicely made. I will surely watch it if it comes here.

The movie sounds like something we should watch. Hopefully, I can find it here in the States. I love your blog!
