various photos from our holiday

We rented a 'cabin' (it was an actual house that was as big as ours back home!) for 5 days that had this fella and one of his siblings (or him again) inside every day!

This kid was just happily digging his little heart out on the beach. When I inquired as to his intentions, he just shrugged and said, 'I'm just digging.'

The flax growing beside the outside terrace of the coffee shop had been braided and woven.

I have a 'thing' for clouds.

It was icky, but I held the starfish Hubby scooped from the ocean and plopped into my hand upside down as the kids were fishing. Holding it wasn't so bad, but watching all those tiny tentacles wiggling around on his underside was the icky part.

Some great images here - I've held little star fish, never a monster like the one you were holding. Not so sure I'd have been that thrilled, either!

We have so many Praying Mantises living in our garden and regularly find them inside. I'm not so keen when they come indoors, as their little nests are really tough to unglue off whatever it is they happen to have selected as a good indoor spot (frequently, it's behind curtains & this leaves a stain).

That little chap certainly was enterprising with all that digging! Pity all that energy couldn't have been put to use earning himself some pocketmoney ;)

What did you see in your cloud picture? I'm pretty sure there was a beautiful peace dove!

The little green bug looks quite happy with himself! I'm afraid I couldn't have held the starfish. Great photos.

Holding a starfish would not be top of my list of things to do, but sometimes we have to take these chances when they present themselves. When would the opportunity arise again?

I love the braided flax.

Amazing I especially love the first and the last one. You are very brave holding the starfish I don't know if I could have done that.
