My favorite nameless flower

I picked up this flower from a garden center a couple of years ago because it was suppose to be able to withstand drought. I have been trying to find out what it is ever since. In the meantime, I call her Gracie.

If you know what she is, please let me know!

**Edit: Thanks, Clipped Wings! Gracie is definitely of the Origanum 'Kent Beauty' variety.

What a gorgeous flower and Gracie is a perfect name for it.

Thanks for posting, we are getting another snowstorm here today so it's nice to see a little reminder of summer :)

Happy New Year To you!

I think it is bouganvilla... else it looks very similar to it

Pretty! I have bouganvilla all over my back wall and Gracie looks more delicate. It was the first thing I thought of though, so maybe it is a different variety? Does Gracie have thorns?

She's so pretty.

Thanks, dear friends, for all your help!

She seems to be rather unique by all standards.

Connie, no, she doesn't have thorns.

Mine definitely has thorns, so I am not sure what it might be.

I thought it was bougainvillea, too (before I read your note) but not one like I've ever seen. The flowers are so much more free and light than the ones that grow around the house. Your Gracie reminds me more of a honeysuckle. I'd like to find one to grow here. Thanks for sharing. :-)

It's a very hardy plant. I have it growing out in my yard, and it has survived many very cold winters.
