Nameless?

I found these growing with some lilies but have no idea what they are. Can anybody help me with a name, please?

"Lily of the Nile"/Agapanthus seems to be correct, thanks to Connie!

A wild guess, but could they ben chinchirees? Whatever they are, they're very pretty.

well, my guess is it's some kind of lily. LOLOLOL...I know, I know that's no help for you, but I do hope you find out what it is. For the longest time, I tried to find out a name...ixora...'cause we have one in our yard, and I couldn't remember what it was called.

I suffer from Halfheimers...that's you remember only half the time.

Beautiful flowers, Betty. They do look like lilies--but not one we have or have seen. We have something similar--but different.. Hope you find what it is. It's beautiful!!!!

Love your chocolate crunchies... Yum

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Lily of the Nile? I first saw these and thought 'lily of the valley' which I knew was wrong! But that got me stuck. I think it is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agapanthus

Hi Betty. Your pictures are just beautiful! And hey, if you ever see that "reluctant photographer" guy (LOL) please tell him that I tried to leave a comment on his blog, but my typepad ID doesn't seem to want to work with him.

You are a couple of talented photographers.

Thanks for all your great guesses! I checked them all out and Connie seems to be on the right track.

Although we have blue (and much larger) agapanthus growing all over the countryside, it really didn't occur to me that it might be a different kind. Thanks, Connie!
