No-bake Chocolate Crunchies

This is a wonderful recipe that the kids can help make!

It contains 'golden syrup' which I could not find in the States, but I'm sure corn syrup would do just fine. I accidentally found that honey gives these crunchies a really nice flavor, too, so experiment a little to find what your family likes best.


No-bake Chocolate Crunchies


2 Cups chocolate chips/morsels
1/2 cup butter
10 Tablespoons golden syrup or honey or both
6 cups rice cereal


Melt chocolate and butter together over a low/med heat.
Remove from heat and stir in syrup/honey, then cereal. Mix well.


Drop by spoonfuls onto baking parchment/waxed paper and refrigerate about 45 minutes, until set.
