I love seeing random things like this when traveling. It makes the journey so much more enjoyable. Your pics made me think of the site that I used to visit called "Roadside America". Interesting stuff!

Just as you don't see too many buskers round your way, we'd be unlikely to see the type of signs in your top 2 photos. Very quirky! I like them a lot.

My husband was showing his Tongariro pix to a friend. Guess what, he had a pix of Mt taranaki from Tongariro, I said, I must post it for you. I am going to do it right now.
