the ramblings of a woman who was transported from her comfort zone in the US Midwest to a different country and culture that shouldn't be so different, but is.
What a precarious position for any house to be in! Looking at your photos the land does not appear to have eroded any further so I presume the house was demolished?
There are various old houses in various states of dis-repair that I look for when on the roads, and it is fascinating to see what happens to them over time - some are left to decay, others removed completely Blessings Maxine
It was a fine old house with I guess lots of memories for someone so a shame it had to go. I guess it may have fallen down during bad weather or been demolished when you weren't looking?
So true...one will never know it shared that space. It is a bit sad...kine of like the barns around here that are now half there because you can envision the history. Hopefully, the family moved to a better home with nice scenery because I would think they would miss the view here. :)
A lot of memories disappear with a house, I suppose. You can only hope that it was abandoned because a better residence was available, although it is curious that it was abandoned (apparently) rather than sold.

Heavens, talk about completely disappeared. All so beautiful and green now though....or it was in 2019
Sadly even the trees have gone as well

One always wonders what the story was behind it all.
So sad to see someone's home just disappear.
The nature is taking back the terrain. I hope the humans no longer needed their home -

Wow.
It is sad to see something disappear, in that place was the house and some trees.

Fascinating! I love old things. Families lived there to make memories. Now it's all gone.
Wow, das sieht ja ganz toll aus.
So wunderschöne grüne Wiesen.
