You don't get wild horses roaming the countryside in Chicago. It just doesn't happen.
I only saw sights like these clouds when passing through the Smoky Mountains. Here, I can drive for a couple of hours and see it daily, if I choose.
But, of course, there is a down side. This is not a 'side road'. This is the main road in the National Park area (that's a city, not a park...).
Life wouldn't be so interesting if there weren't so many differences between 'here' and 'there'.

I love the wild horse....

Neat Betty... I love your post about the differences. Thank God I have never lived in a city growing up... I did live some of my adult life in or near a city--and I didn't like it. That is why I have retired back in the mountains. I'm an hour from a small city (Knoxville) and it's big enough for our needs WHEN we have to go to a city...
Your pictures are gorgeous --and you do love in a beautiful area of our world. I'd love to visit there someday.....
Hugs,
Betsy
Some beautiful photos. Love the wild horse.
Absolutely beautiful. I want to live out of a city. Near enough to visit, but far enough to not hear it all day, or have the stars blocked at night.
Nice scenery. Very nice photos.
Fabulous photos! Just amazing... what a great place you live in.
Isn't NZ gorgeous? I wouldn't live anywhere else, bet you're glad you came here :-)
Hey there. Thanks for the comment, there are som beautiful images here, and I will definitely be back.
Oh those are gorgeous shots, especially the horse. Nope, definitely don't see that here in Chicago! That's a great appy coloring on him, too.
And the road? Oh that sounds like it has it's little headaches there!
