It's a feeder not a nester!!

Hubby built this bird feeder years ago and a lot of birds have found a meal here. Apparently, we are too good at feeding them because, for the past two days, one bird has been trying to build a nest inside! I sure hate to disappoint them, but they're going to have to move out!

What better place to live than in a restaurant? :)

I agree with Linda! :) Maybe you can build them a platform below for their nest :)

Those rascals take advantage of any good looking nesting spot...not too far to go for sustenance:)

Oh dear maybe they thought you were offering an upmarket bed and breakfast?!
Love this post - I'm passing on the word with my feathered friends, all they get here is left over dog food...

Maybe it's just a temporary fix until the economy turns around!?!

Such a lovely inviting little birdhouse, I can see why they'd want to stay! Just discovered your blog - love your backstory :)

oh would have been so tempting with all that lovely nesting material .. and shade and shelter. Maybe he could built a suitable bird-house nearby to hopefully coax them to for nesting. A bit late now, though worth putting up for them to contemplate for when the time is right.
